Default No power to ignition switch

2000 ezgo txt golf cart lost power to ignition switch,traced back to solinoid ,now power from 2 small center prongs,replaced solinoid still no power to switch.Checked power at tow/run switch ,4 prongs 2 lower have power,when switched nopower changed to top of switch,Any ideas? Thanks darren

Hi Darren, Welcome to BGW!

Your ignition switch gets its power from the F&R microswitch and that gets power from the reed switch at the charger receptacle..... check out the path of + supply that starts at the charge receptacle and ends at the solenoid activation.

Scotty, A Run/Tow switch was mentioned and described, so I suspect he has a PDS cart.

Darren,
To get power to keyswitch, you have to have B+ (Battery pack voltage) on J1 Pins 4 & 5 and on J3 Pins 1, 2, 3 & 4.
If you are missing B+ on any of those pins, the controller will not send voltage to keyswitch.

To get solenoid to activate, you have to have B+ on all lines highlighted in RED.
(Note: F/R shown in F. If in Reverse, J1 Pin-2 has B+ instead of J1 Pin-3)
