What about not hearing an audible reverse warning sound. How do I go about fixing that? Do you think this has anything to do with the cart fizzling out on me? Thanks for your help!

EZduzit, you keep using fizzling out. Does that mean it slows down then stops. or does it just die.

My dads buggy had a bad switch on the potentiometer. Sometimes it would go sometimes it would not. stop on the gas a few times and it would go.

It just plum dies...then if I wait just a couple of seconds and press on the pedal , it will go. This is an electric cart. Thanks.

Funny scottyb! I'm not venturing out too far until I get this fixed. No bad leg here...I walk 1.5-2 miles every day! Is there something on the market I can spray on this F/R switch...a cleaner or something that would help. You still haven't addressed the NO audible warning sound in Reverse. Is this an easy fix and/or have anything to do with my problem?

The back up beeper requires power from the F&R micro switch. It not working could indicate the power TO the F&R micro switches (ms) is intermittent, refer to my diagram with the solenoid activation circuit traced in red + and blue - . Tracing out that circuit with a voltmeter is really where you should be looking .

You never said if the solenoid clicks when you can't go.
Does the back up beeper never work? If it won't work when the cart works then forget about it as a possible cause.

The back up beeper hasn't worked for several months. The cart has been running just fine w/o this sound. I did state in an earlier post that I hear nothing, no clicking no nothing when the cart fizzles out. What about some kind of spray cleaner? It's hard to keep you guys on track! HA! Just kidding!Just like a man to avoid certain questions! HA!

I'm not aware of any cleaner that would "fix" this issue. Make sure all the cables on the F-n-R are tight. give them a strong wiggle and see if any move.

How long will the buggy run before if does this?

Seems like it maybe runs for 15-20 minutes before it quits, then it is just a few seconds before it will go again. Thanks!
