is the problem your talking about, that the cart don't have half speed in reverse now?,--- can you show us which wiring diagram you used to wire the cart

It has to be wire backward some how. I just ran out of time yesterday.

The cart runs about 10mph in forward, until I removed the 1/2 speed wire from the controller. That tells me that I have the forward and reverse backwards. Although I have traced the cables and they seem correct.

Here's the diagram that I have been using. EZGO Diagram

The cable locations I listed were from the schematic (attached) in the service manual for a stock controller in a 2001 and up 36V TXT Series cart.

The Alltrax schematic linked to, has them connected differently.

The trick is to get the beeper to sound and the cart to go backwards when the lever is in the R position and more than one wiring arrangement will do that.

If the lever is in R and the beeper is sounding, but the cart moves forward, switch the cables on B and D on the f/R switch, OR the cables on the S1/S2 terminals on the motor, OR switch the cables on the A1/A2 terminals on the motor.

If using a stock controller, I'd start with the stock wiring arrangement.
If using an aftermarket controller, I'd start with the wiring arrangement provided by the controller manufacturer.

Thanks for the info. The reason I used the Alltrax diagram to start with was because it had a good depiction of the solenoid wiring. Now that I have it running I will compare it to the diagram that you posted.

Thanks again.

Well I have gone over EVERY bit of that diagram and I still can't get this thing. I have moved the cables in every different direction and it still is the same. I am to the point where I may just leave it with the 1/2 speed wire off....ugh

Like I said earlier, switch the cables to the armature until you get the reverse beeper when the lever is in the R position. (Or half speed reverse wire has battery pack voltage on it)
Then switch the cables going the the stator until the cart goes backwards when lever is in R.

There are four cables and two ends on each cable, so there is more than one combination that will work.

That's exactly what I was doing, the only problem is I never got the reverse buzzer to sound when it was in reverse.

If you can get the reverse buzzer to sound while cart is going forward, switch the S1/S2 leads either at the Motor or at the F/R switch, but not at both ends.
