Upgrading
I have a 2006 txt series cart and would like to know if i can upgrade to 400amp heavy duty solenoid and heavy duty f&r switch before i upgrade the controller and use until i can come up with money for controller ?

That will work.
If you haven't already, the high current cables can also be upgraded before upgrading the controller. The problems happen when the controller is upgraded first and the original (undersized) cables, solenoid and F/R switch can't handle the higher current. A similar set of problems happen when taller tires are installed before upgrading the drive system. Tall tires take more amps to turn and the original drive system can't cope with the increased demands. |
