Default Re: Solenoid...or improper wiring?

Looking at the picture it seems the plunger would be in the tube before the switch closed. I believe there is a set screw on the plunger threaded collar and it can be adjusted down closer to the induction tunnel. The result would be the switch closing sooner.
I'm not sure this is your problem but you could test the theory by pulling the switch wires and clipping them together and see if you get a smooth start. If yes then the switch is closing too late. I had a cart like that years ago. Ended up removing part of collar to make the switch arm fall sooner and that fixed that cart's jumpy start. GL and keep us posted

Thanks Scotty. Now you're jogging my memory. I did replace the microswitch a few years back and recall having issues with the switch opening AFTER the plunger was in the tube. IIRC I couldn't find an adjustment to make it do what it was suppose to do.

But while I have this open I'll take a look later today.

IIRC when I tried to adjust it for the switch to open first, it just put the plunger closer to the entrance and it was all the same. After likely an hour of trying to figure it out......I likely said screw it.....and closed it up.

I don't recall doing this specifically.....but it can be my MO.

I got frustrate on the cart I mentioned and actually removed the plunger and ground the collar off so the switch could fall earlier. On that cart it worked. There was no easy way to simply move the switch ahead.

Yeah. I took a look and thought at first, I had the jam nut (this jam nut is part of the big round metal thing) reversed. So, I turned it around thinking this was it!!

It wasn't. So I took the plunger and filed off .100 of length. I don't know if that was a smart move...but that's what I did. Then I hooked up the computer, checked the High Pedal Disable, went for a drive and it still has the problem.

You can see from the pics the different location of the switch roller.

The starts are smooth though.

So, lemme ask this, (As I don't see Scotty's web site carrying these parts). I want to replace the ITS, and the micro-switch, as well as the Molex part. This is the plug part that's on the outside of the ITS box?...Right? Mine looks to be a round piece from what I can tell looking through the box.

Who sells all three components? And is there really a difference between the $90 cart shops and the $30 Amazon one? Quality difference?
