head lights off all other lights on

OK. My cart has the standard light kit installed. I am wanting to be able to turn all lights on and leave the headlights off.Kinda like a car with just the park lights on. I now I will need a 3 position switch for this but how is this to be wired? Should I just cut the h.l. wires and run new wire? Thanks much

How many wires do you have going to the front lights, two or three?

get yourself a car headlight light switch from the auto parts store , it should tell you how to wire it with the labeling engraved or label on the switch . You will have three wires , one is the 12 volts positive from your battery, next wire, should be for the parking lot lights, and the last one should be for your headlights. yours in electricity..

You just cut your 2 main wire to your headlights and put them on one side and then run 2 other wires back to the wires you cut off.The only thing it does is make a break in the circuit.

I have 2 wires coming from the head light. 1 red 1 white
