![]() 2007 precedent..
My new-to-me alltrax DCX500 is unacceptably jerky on takeoff. I've tried multiple settings, nothing seems to help... I assume my MCOR is worn in spots, causing signal dropout that the controller interprets as on-off-on causing it to jerk and lurch. Before I bust off another $150 on an MCOR, is there anything else to look at? Greg |

![]() What are the settings in your controller?
What is the output signal from your MCOR through out the peddle travel? |

![]() The controller is on my desk- I'll throw it back in the cart when I get back home... I tried the settings in virtually all positions, throttle up from 8 to 12 or whatever is the highest, throttle down matching throttle up, and also in varying degrees in either direction. I will take my multimeter and look at what the value returned from the MCOR is also.

![]() My guess is your problem is not the MCOR but it would be good to eliminate that from the equation so we can concentrate on proper controller settings.

![]() Hmm.
I was fairly exhaustive in trying out different settings, but I will give anything suggested a shot! I am familiar with yokogawa and Omron controllers for oilfield drive motors (topdrive, mud pump etc) but this is a bit different. Not that difficult to slam the other one in there, I bet I could have it back in about 20 minutes.. That being said, this is a fairly common platform, and I can't see why there should be tons of variance in controller settings to combat this issue IE "Put your controller settings to X at first and work from there" .....I looked up the older threads about this problem, applied the settings suggested, and it was still pretty terrible. I believe the alltrax SPM line of controllers address this issue with 'throttle curve learning' or something. I wish I knew about that before I bought this one... Thank you scotty for your input. I am a nidiot (new idiot) at this, and I am grateful for the guidance of those with more experience than me. |

![]() I don't know that the SPM controls are available for your cart as of yet.
You can bench or in cart program which ever you are most comfortable with. Can you post a 'snip' of the program screen on both pages? Something like this .... |

![]() Make sure when you reset the Alltrax that it doesn't loose power while resetting. You have to keep the cart power on until it rewrites the throttle input.
Just saying. ![]() ![]() |
