![]() I'm new. Read a lot here - thanks. I have 2004 EZGo series. The batteries were old last year and I had them replaced (about 1 yr ago). They worked fine, though cart has always been VERY slow uphill. Now the batteries only go about 12 holes before dying. I've never added water because it has never gone down (AND I might add that from the day it the batteries were replaced, the water seems very high - right to the top).
Other notes: new 4guage cables, all very tight, very clean connections. The cart has always been fairly weak in power, almost as if the charge wasn't full. Could symptoms like this be from something OTHER than the batteries? Thanks. |

![]() Time for some diagnostics.
What is pack voltage? What are individual battery voltages? What are specific gravity readings of each cell on each battery? What is pack voltage at end of charging right before charger shuts off? What is pack voltage 1 hour after charger shuts off? What does ammeter indicate when you start charging and at end of cycle? Double check the battery cables and connections. Don't just look. Remove, clean, and tighten all connections and look for any signs of corrosion. You indicated you have a 2004 series. I'm assuming this to be a fleet or non PDS cart. If not and it is a PDS, then make sure to switch Run/Tow to Tow/Maintenance before doing any work on the cart. |
