1998 CCDS - noisy engine/rear
1998 CCDS - 6" lift - 23" tires - Seems noisy when driving - I thought it was the tires but I am thinking something else. I put it in maintenance mode and it still does it - I put a stick on the engine & starter/Gen - and couldn't really tell anything. I checked the rear end fluid and it looked clean - sounds like a noisy rear end but don't know where to start. any ideas?

OK, I think I narrowed it down to the bearing on the driven clutch on the rear end. What is involved in fixing that. I assume split the case but anything to look out for? Special tl
Oils? Where do I get parts? |

well, I tore it apart and it was the bearings on the driven clutch shaft - ordering new parts tomorrow - not too bad as far as mechanical problems go. :)
