Re: Difference between RXVs 2009 vs 2012
Thanks for the replies. When i had my 2009 RXV I had a guy come out and program it to max speed, but He didnt mention anything about acceleration changes. Sounds like the newer carts with curtis controller you can up that acceleration to be very specific which would be nice. It may be nice to have the cart done then have it tuned to my liking.

2009 has 3 acceleration settings.
Basically low, medium and high. There is a very noticable difference between low and high |

Mine must have been on low then. It took a while to get moving then it would hit 25 mph quickly. Would higher acceleration help on big hills from a stop?

Also, if you look closely you can see a label on the frame with the serial no. There is also one on the bottom of the steering column. If your shopping for one you can run the serial no. on a smart phone. Go to shopezgo.com and find the year and model link at the bottom of the page. |

25 MPH?
Your torque issues may be too large tires or high speed gears. Both reduce torque and increase speed. RXV max programmable speed is 19.5 mph |

Re: Difference between RXVs 2009 vs 2012
It was 25 inch tires (i think the biggest you can do with a 6 inch lift). So yes that probably has a lot to do with the torque being low. No gears thou. It would hit 29mph top speed on flat ground with only the lift and tires, which is why I am very interested in the RXVs, great speed for little cost

You have poor brakes with that setup as motor torque is brake torque.
