Default Just got an EZ-Go TXT, and have a few questions

I just sold my Yamaha gas cart, and picked up this TXT. A couple of questions on it:

The cart has an aftermarket suspension lift. The front shocks are shot. With a 4" lift, can I purchase OEM shocks, or will I need aftermarket shocks?

Going up any type of grade causes the cart to bog down significantly. I did notice that several of the battery cables are corroded, and plan on replacing them tonight, could that cause the amount of speed loss I am experiencing, or should I look elsewhere? This thing does have some larger tires, but I don't think they are large enough to slow me down this much.

TXTs come in a few drive systems. Can you ID the drive system below?
First addition should be an in dash DVM so you can tell us what the pack voltage is at a standstill and what it drops to when the cart slows miserably under load

I'm not sure, Scotty. I will check it when I get home this afternoon. All I know for sure is the model is TXTE
Date code L1104
Serial # 2210825

Does any of that help?

Thanks, 270.

In the absence of an in dash DVM, could I hook a multi meter to the batteries and watch it as I put it under a load?

Yes, but you need the digital dash meter anyway to monitor battery voltage as you drive

OK, so I got home, and I replaced all of the battery jumpers (haven't yet replaced the -/+ leads to/ from the motor), and now when I hit the throttle, I hear the click, but the cart won't go anywhere. Doesn't move at all. I replaced the jumpers one at a time (I'm new to electric carts, but my trolling motor on my boat has a 36v trolling motor that I wired myself), so I'm certain that they are installed properly. I crimped them myself using 4 ga cable and solid copper connectors. All batteries are reading 6.73v, but I went ahead and put them on the charger. Any ideas what is going on here?

Likely you forgot to put a small wire back on one of the main or something like that. Look around to see if the wire is dangling. Where is the click coming from?

That was odd. After putting it on the charger for about an hour, it ran just fine. 2 of the old jumpers were highly rusted, I don't know if the batteries on them were not being charged, or what. Regardless, all the jumpers have been replaced, but the leads to/ from the motor have not yet been replaced, and the power that is being put to the ground has not changed any.
