1983 36 volt club car solenoids
What are good solenoids for my cart. I did some reading in other threads and think maybe I have some old faulty ones. Here is whats going on. slowy push ped down, hear one click ( that is the main one to power them up, no movement) 2nd click, no movement, 3rd click small lunge forward, hesitates
then ask I push down further seems to go one speed. on the flats it maintains speeds, up a hill it slows down some , till I push all the way and then it goes. I do feel heat from the coils from on top of the solenoids. No maybe this all normal, I have never had electric golf car or any all electric. I have nothing to compare it too, anyone have some suggestions or ideas for me thanks, |

Re: 1983 36 volt club car solenoids
ok first your coils do heat up , it is what they were made to do
here is how your cart works you turn on key and it energizes the f/r micro switch you place f/r switch in forward it energizes the 1st solenoid, this is the main solenoid it powers the other solenoids as you press the go pedal you engage the micro switches in the speed box there are 4 speeds. as you press on the go pedal it in turn activates a micro switch and in turn the solenoids when you fully depress the go pedal you by pass the coils and are at full power reverse is 18v or half speed yes you will slow down on a up hill and speed up going down , DO NOT FREE WHEEL DOWN HILL use brakes to slow down or you will blow the motor test each solenoid solenoid test Quote:
then test each micro switch where to buy good solenoids http://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/#!...b-cars-%238016 |
