Default Thought I'd give it a shot

Has anyone attempted this? $16 each 1000lb trailer leaf springs. They were 2 inches short so I cut the snails off and made a pack. I wound up removing the short leaf before installing. There is still ample travel in the rear and seems to ride fine, just wondering what thoughts some might have.

Ride quality is similar to my friends beast buggy with HD springs. Figured I couldn't go wrong with 32 bucks for rear springs.

Agri supply, there's a local store about 30 minutes away. Huge farm and tractor supply place, online as well.

It looks like a great way to have HD springs cheap. I wish that I had seen this before I shelled out the bucks for a new HD set of springs that I haven't installed yet.

You might keep an eye on the ends near the eyes on your mains. As you can see the rest of the pack is about twice as thick as the original ones. Puts a lot of leverage on the original main at the ends. Keep us posted.
