8 - 6 volt batteries store more energy than 6 - 8 volt batteries
A full charge will take more time.

OBC is running the charge time.
Batts must need a good long charge,
can go up to 16 hours & up to 65 volts
May need to unplug & plug back in to get them fully charged
if the charger goes a full 16 hours & shuts off.

Patience,
let'm charge
Then keep them charged

But
A higher amp charger would speed things up.

True.... I'm waiting on the vehicle serial number. If he's got the IQ Plus system he's gonna need an IQ Plus charger.

When did CC stop putting an OBC in the cart & go
to a smart charger ? Thought somewhere in 2014 ?

That is correct on Precedents. Not sure when the utility cart went to a high frequency charger.

Dave,
I didn't know that CC went to a smart charger, very interesting update.

How many amps does it put out, and how does it compare to DPI and Lester Summit chargers?

I don't know how many amps it puts out, but you won't like the price tag. Retail is over $600.00

Club Car has offered an on-board high frequency charger option (no OBC) since 2011.

Club Car Precedent Excel cars manufactured from October 2013 to present have the E.R.I.C. high frequency charger system (no OBC) and are identified with serial number prefix J.

They appear to be Delta-Q chargers.

They're Delta-Q chargers. Club Car calls them E.R.I.C. I've never seen one on anything older than a 2013 and I was told the 2013s were "Proto-types". Interesting information about the 2011s.... Must not have been a popular option. lol.
