Default LED?

2017 ez go express S4 with one hour on it. Installed led bulbs in rear. Turn signal flashes and so does the headlights, turn the headlights on and everything works like they should.

Have you tried pulling the bulbs out at turning them around? Sometimes the polarity of the LED's needs to be flipped so it doesn't back feed.

Some of those LED bulbs use the same LEDs for both the dim taillight and the brighter turn/brake light, the +12v power wires just land in different sections on the same board.

If the LED board does not have any internal isolation, putting +12v on the brake/turn signal wire will back feed +12v on the taillight wire (which connects to your headlight).

The solution in this case is to add a diode in series with each bulb taillight +12v power wire (near the bulb), the cathode (stripped end) needs to point to the LED light bulb.

The diode only costs a few cents each if you have an electronics parts store nearby.

You can use a 1N4004 through 1N4007 series diodes (1 amp).

At each taillight, locate the +12v parking light wire.

Cut the wire and solder the diode in series with the wire.

The diode side with a stripe goes towards the taillight.

You can also order a lifetime supply of diodes from Amazon, those diodes can be used for any 12v/36v/48v relays you would install.

Put the diodes in and that stopped the headlights from blinking. The led lights all light so when you put the brakes on there is no more lights to light and they don't get any brighter with the brakes applied.

I used LED tails from a TXT I think. Pulled them out of the plastic housing and put them in the stock S4 plastic housing and then wired them up. Bought a new turn signal module for LEDs, and everything works great. I think in total it cost me $40.
