Default It is hard to believe!! No Answers, to Anything!

With as many members as this forum has it is hard to believe not one of you have ever worked on a 1991 Ez-Go Marathon 2 cycle.

I have asked several times about removing the governor and how to go about it. I have asked about the governor fork and never got one response from any of the members.

Do I need to take the hint and quit asking?

If you are sure you have a 2 cycle Marathon. I don't know of any governor in the rear end.

Is this what the rear end in your cart looks like?

It's only been 4 days since you asked you question. This is not an every day question

The last 2 cycle marathon rolled off the assembly line 25 years ago. Since then Ezgo made many improvements like 4 stroke engines, Medalist, TXT, 2 bigger 4 stroke engines and ignition improvements, ST350, and RXV gas models ... maybe the old Marathon just not that common any more?

From what I understand the 1991 Model 2 cycle is different from 1989-1990. The Case does not appear to be split. I have the service manual but it is of little or no help.

In this manual on page cc-5 it shows the arm in the top right corner. Is this what yours looks like. It only has one arm on it.

Manual 24566-G1: 1989-1991 Electric and Gas Powered SERVICE PARTS MANUAL (single file).
