We have interacted on this forum before and we have never had a conflict like this. The carburetor issue is over with so let's just stick with golf carts and repair issues/help. I'm not on here to argue and make enemies

Whoa whoa whoa. Hell I was gonna see if you wanted a job.

Don't want to get ya all into a wad. I like this business and see so many people ripped off, its crazy. I do like to try and learn how others run their businesses for a better understanding that's the only reason I questioned it. Ive been able to help other golf cart shops just by changing around there mindset a bit.

Here in my area shops do everything in there power to not cover stuff under warranty. Its always something else and the customer is sold the next high end part.

Yes I am arrogant, not really a bad thing, but yeah I come across that way.
Believe it or not Ive put shops out of business, and people I have trained have put shops out of business in their respective areas. I know, arrogant again.

Anyway, like to stay on even footing with you so to speak, didn't mean to ruffle any feathers

I wouldn't say you were arrogant, again I don't know you, but some of the things you said were. You came off a little strong for me, not really used to that here. Now that you explained your reasoning I can see your side of the conversation better. No harm done then

As for a job I would have to respectfully decline, I'm not really in a position to change hands at this time, but it's appreciated

What I will ask you then is when you clean your carburetors do you clean each piece separately or soak them? When I have cleaned them in the past, I usually submerge the parts in a gallon container of carb cleaner solution overnight and the next day it seems pretty good

No problem

I don't soak them. I do find that you HAVE to use compressed air and remove all the jets. Do you remove the float pin? If not, you should, be careful not to break the ear off. Also get a jet cleaning tool, or go to Lowes or Home Depot and buy a welding tip cleaning tool. You can then get into the main passages of the carb. I replaced less than100 carbs in 25 plus years of fixing carts

Less than 100 in 25+ years is pretty impressive. I have only been in the golf car field for 5 years so getting advice from more experienced people is always a plus. Good point about the float pin, I usually don't remove it, but I will start doing it now when it comes up

Float pin will only come out one way.....be careful, don't lean on the aluminum tabs at all-just pull it straight out.

Have you tried diesel fuel? Lol some people swear by it to soak carbs. The stuff I have been using is pretty effective from Napa.
