lost voltage reducer
Can anyone tell me where to find the voltage reducer on a 2006 precedent.
I have looked under the front cowling and can see where the wiring goes into the back of the dash, and I can't see anything that looks like a reducer. Thanks Sonny |

Re: lost voltage reducer
Well, someone with more knowledge than me will chine in but I don't think the 2006 model had a reducer. That one has the 4-12V batteries? The basic model didn't have any accessories, therefore no need for a reducer?
I had a 2007 and I had to wire in a reducer to take care of accessories. Reducer, fuse block & ground strip to power my upgraded lights, stereo, etc. |

Re: lost voltage reducer
That is what I have 4 -12 volts batteries. Did they power the lights off 1 battery ????.and if so, is it fused ???
I WILL BE GLAD TO BE THROUGH WITH THIS PROJECT. Thanks all Sonny |

Re: lost voltage reducer
Lights are powered from battery number 4 (Main Negative Battery). Positive blue wire runs to an inline fuse (supplied in the light kit) to a 10 gauge blue wire under the controller cover. Negative is pre-wired into the light harness on the car via the yellow bullet connector attached to the B- post of the controller.

Re: lost voltage reducer
David are all the lights wired this way. with or without a reducer.
If so what would be the most likely problem with no lights, Thanks sonny |

Re: lost voltage reducer
If it came with 12 volt batteries, it didn't come with a reducer, unless it was added (almost never). If the lights don't work, check the light switch. They short out all the time.
