Default Re: 20amp fuse blowing on the 48-12volt coverter

It may be possible the converter is shorted internally. I have had to replace 2 of them. A guy named Al Murray at BST Equipment in Dunn, NC told me they only last about 7 years. I had the same issue. The fuse would blow no matter the key position or anything else. As soon as I tried to complete the circuit, the fuse blew.

If my coverter is blown do need to keep the same type or is their another one I could use and get the same results. More or less I'm trying to save a few $$ due to it being so much.

You can use any 48 to 12 converter.
20 amp converter would be ok, but 30 amps would be better for future upgrades .
Just make sure you get a 5 wire converter for ease of replacement.
