Default Alltrax xct universal adapter mount = higher temps?

Took my cart out for about 5, maybe 10 minutes. Drove about a mile. One hill that is semi steep.

When I stopped I looked at my controller temp and it was 65c. Ambient temp was 80f.

Does the aluminum the controller attach act as a heatsink? I put on the universal adapter just to make it easier to install. I know the controller is operating up to 85c so it's not close to it's limit.

That would only make sense since air is a great insulator (i.e. double pane windows.) Aluminum on the other hand not so much (i.e. heat sink.)

You may need to think about adding the optional fan to assist in cooling if heat continues to be a problem for you.

The engineers designed this control with internal cooling towers and an optional fan kit. They also designed a uni-mount system. Use of the uni-mount is optional and the control bolts to the TXT heat sink. This controller does not need a heat sink mount.
In my Precedent I have tossed out the heat sink, mounted a XCT to a plastic surface and installed an aftermarket motor. Installed a temp monitor system and there is no heat issue for me.

So if there is a temp difference it is typically insignificant and does not effect performance...Check your monitor log, something may be causing your controller to draw excessive amperage?

What amp should i be pulling on flat surface at full speed?

is "Motor Current" the amps? I logged what looks like everything. I see now that was a mistake.

Change the output to a comma delimited so it can be read by a spread sheet program.

The most amps I've recorded on my setup is 211 starting up a steep incline.
