Remember to check your ring end gap without the piston in.
Rings go bevel side up with the ends wrapped around the little alignment pins in the ring grooves. Most importantly, piston goes in with the side port facing the intake. The rod bearing where it connects to the piston will have side to side slop, but not up, and down. Use Loc-tite on the seals, and stake them in 3 places. Once you remove the clutch, grab the crankshaft, and give it a good shake to see if there is any movement. That will determine if you need those 3 crankshaft bearings. |
