Ez go 1999 replaced selenoid f/r now are not right

I changed the selenoid and it goes forward and cuts out and the light blinks 5 times and cuts.
I was wondering if the voltage diode could be part of it .?

Please advice and suggestions

Since the stock EZGO controllers used in 1999 carts did not have an indicator LED, I suspect you have an aftermarket controller.

If it is an Alltrax controller, it would either be an AXE (series drive) or a DCX (sepex drive), or their non user programmable versions.

Since the AXE does not have a 5 blink error code, it is most likely a DCX and 5 blinks means an open field error.

Could be bad F1/F2 cables, or bad Motor, or bad controller.

Measure cables for continuity and measure field windings in motor for continuity. If they are good, controller is likely to be bad.

I used to figure out what was actually wrong with a medical device from what doctors and nurses said was wrong.

Thanks good advice and as I was checking my wknin
Law dropped tools on the harness and burnt up wiring . Have to get a new one

And here I was trying to figure out what the "wkn" REALLY was. I was guessing it was some polite shorthand for whatever obscenity crossed your mind when the harness burned up.

Getting a new son-in-law is probably to expensive. Just rebuild the one you have.
