1989 EZGo Marathon accelerator switch assembly

I have to replace the Movable contact brush on an 1989 EzGO accelerator board, how do you align the sliding brush with the contacts on the board. I replace the brush assembly back onto the contact arm and there is a stud on one side that the contact arm hits but nothing on other side.

The stud should be in the resting position for the wiper arm, and when you press the pedal all the way down the wiper shouldn’t go past the last contact. If it does your pedal needs adjusting underneath.
