Like Dave said. I have 24" tires and a modded VC 460 and run higher speeds. With new cables and shoes and all adjusted properly the stock system works very well. I still have the ausco disc brakes never installed since doing everything else in preparation for the disc the cart stopped so well I never bothered to install them.

Plowman’s setup also brakes the cart effectively when you lift off the throttle and I like that. My cart stops immediately when I jab the brakes. When I was driving down my little cul-de-sac the other day at full 22 mph, I jabbed the brake pedal hard to see how she stopped and I locked up the tires for a moment and stopped right now. Was very very happy with my stopping ability.
