Installed lights, now battery wont stay charged
My buddy has a 1989 gas EZGO, added a front LED light bar, cart ran fine. Then added rear tail lights and reran all the wiring for front and rear lights (the rear lights are marked lights for a trailer, they ground to the metal frame and get power via the light bar switch. Cart wouldn't start, so we jumped it, ran for about 15 min just fine while driving around. Came to a stop, motor turned off, won't restart. Changed the battery, same thing.
Battery reads 12v with a meter but I assume does not have the amperage to kick it over, again, jump out and it runs... Thoughts? |

Re: Installed lights, now battery wont stay charged
Well the first obvious thing is to disconnect your power connection from the battery to the lights and see if you still have a problem. If no a wire is crossed somewhere. If yes check the output of your voltage regulator and make sure it is working. It may not be charging the battery and the lights will kill it quicker
