Default alltrax sr contoller install question

I have a 95 ezgo medalist...in the alltrax manual they have a2 going from the motor to the controller...in the manual and how its configured a1 actually goes from the motor to the controller...I'm assuming this was a misprint?

Also I noticed they dont want the black jumper wire to go from the b+ on the controller to the solenoid..rather it go from the solenoid to the controller...am I reading this right?

I bought a heavy duty solenoid with it. guessing it doesnt matter which side I hook up the post to as long as I have the diode going the right direction?

Thanks!

I've have pretty much everything hooked up and will take pictures before I hook up the batteries.... looks like they elminated the a2 from the fw switch to the controller.

Your first pic doesn't look like the alltrax manual. Trust the alltrax manual. It's been a while since I did mine, but it was the same setup and it worked great.

First pic is the manual for the cart. Second is the alltrax for the cart.

I have it all hooked up but am not getting anything still. im getting 38 volts between b+ and b-. how do i test the micro switches. guessing when I change my old solenoid and drop a wrench it took out the m2 and or key switch? already changed the pedal switch. when I turn on my key i get lights< i know this is separate > but shouldnt that mean the key switch is good? I'm at a loss.

JohnnieB was helping me in my other thread...now its all coming together.

"12V Lights are not part of drive system. It is all 36V. Keyswitch has separate contacts for 12V accessories and 36V drive system."

If johnnieb was helping you, stick with him. There’s nobody better.
It sounds like you’re jumping around a bit. That’s a series cart, right? If so, follow the attached diagram. Start at the reed switch and follow pack voltage to the solenoid. The first step is getting the solenoid to click.

I think he was getting tired of my newb questions....

Anyway...its a 95 medalist.series cart..it has no reed switch...Thanks for the help though. I just dont know where to follow the power...I have diagrams but am pretty new to reading schematics. so far, i have no power to the key switch, key switch works. continuity at the key switch when turned on. no click.. I replaced the micro switch at the pedal. Thanks for any help! I have continuity at the m2...when switched to forward...get nothing in reverse.
