battery tray specs
Ok still working on my golf cart and I have a friend that is going to try and build me something. I wanted to know the messurements of the battery tray so he can build me something to get me through right now. I know he could messure it but he is out of town right now and I was needing a piece to put under the batteries until then.
I think I messured 21 1/4 length and each box is about 10 1/4. What has broke is the part that runs between the two trays in the middle so my middle batteries in the front row and in the back row are falling out. I ask this so he can build me something asap! Those of you who are fimilar with my cart knows what my batteries look like however I will try and attach a picture. I have an EZGO K199 1215506 |

Re: battery tray specs
I have a 97 txt with the batteries out and could measure a couple things for you. You can actually buy a new battery tray and they bolt right in. They are probably big $$$.
I'll get back with some deminsions.... tony |

Re: battery tray specs
OEM bolt in battery trays are not too expensive and they bolt right in. Go to my OEM parts website and order one - You'll get free shipping until the 31st.

Re: battery tray specs
That's as cheap as building one....but, if someone owes ya'....Inside measurements are 22" wide by 21" long. The drop from the top of the frame to basket bottom is 13". The third pic shows the center support rail. Butted angles. This is about rusted out too. Time for something new....
It's important to secure the batteries. The stock unit has the brackets in place. |

Re: battery tray specs
Why would you go to all that cutting, welding etc. for someone to TRY to build one when a phone call & $100 would get you a new one?? PLUS no shipping charge!!

Sure beats trying to juryrig something together to get a day's worth of riding out of it. And definitely beats taking the batteries out twice. |
