Default melting wires

got a 1984 cc with the 5 selonoids,new batts,new lift kit,new body,cart redone front to back,has been running great for 4 or 5 months,got on it the other day and put in reverse and as cart started moving green switch wire started melting and some smoke started coming from the selonoids, i jacked rear wheels up and just bearly press gas pedel and the switch wire starts melting again,i changed the wire to make sure that it wasn't grounding anywhere,any ideas,thanks
