Thinking that this is Scotty's international shipping.

Re: I want to buy carts in the US and ship them to Australia
For the Australian market you have plenty of options to buy new, complete carts from the Chinese suppliers for as little as $2000 in 20' container quantities of 8 unassembled or 4 assembled.

If he is trying to justify a US trip to cover his expenses as a business, I could see buying some US carts and refurbing them. Both Club Car and Ezgo have a remanufactured cart program for anyone buying in quantities. If it is a cost of sales and he has an adequate service dept, the Chinese carts are worth a look. Ezgo, Club Car and Yamaha have a good presence in Australia but the Chinese carts are much more prevalent than in the US. Trojan and US Battery have distributors in Australia so from a cost standpoint, you would not want to ship with batteries. I have quite a few of the Chinese carts in my area, Tomberlins, Stars, Fairplay, Polaris etc, they're fast, look good and there have been very few problems with them. |

Carbondriver,G/day digger, you not the only dinkie -di that loves this site.
Buddy I am on east cost all my buddies use club car,but all the WA club car are different, especially when you start to pimp them. You have a company named EVWORKS,that handle Alltrax controllers, but they don't carry the controllers for our club car as their shop does not carry shunt motors which all our carts have. These blokes will go out of there way to help you out.ScottyB,is ideal as he is on east cost{cheaper shipping} Chevy another bloke that answered your thread,if you looking for decals HE's the MAN. regards Rick. |

Re: I want to buy carts in the US and ship them to Australia
Thanks for all your replies and very keen to go the space route so I can entertain the pilot!
down under, saw you on here cobber....bet they haven't a clue what all this digger, cobber mate stuff is....LOL Looks like Trojan T875s are $199 ea plus about another $150 in shipping per set. May be issues sending lead acid batteries by freight ex USA that I don't need. Although we ship a large load of Iron ore etc to China from here, I am not sure that the kind of person we are after would buy a Chinese cart at this moment in their evolution. Have had an electric golf push cart from there the engineering leaves a lot to be desired. In fact its now clogging up my garage with all the other stuff I shouldn't have bought. I think we can sell slightly pimped up, clean carts with new batteries for a decent price. Chinese are not good at giving you anyhting except exactly what your drawing said, and even then not that. In the US people use their heads to think through issues which you don't get in many asian countries. |
