Tomberlin motors and PQ
I think I have decided to send off my 2010 tomberlin e-2 48ss motor made by AM&D to Plum Quick for a rebuild. I am told I would have an increase in torque and speed. Any body have any experience with this? I have lifted the cart 5" and have 14" wheels wrapped with 23" tires. My main reason for this is more speed.

Re: Tomberlin motors and PQ
Never measured it before the change , BUT yes to both I'm guessing about a 20-25% increase in speed and perhaps 10-15% in torque but I upgraded Cables at the same time.

Re: Tomberlin motors and PQ
I actually have a call in for Robby, as soon as I hear from him I am going to ship him my motor. We had pm'ed a few months back and from what I gathered I would be very pleased. I have heard good things about there work and rebuilds. I can't wait to get this done.

Re: Tomberlin motors and PQ
If U do the install , make sure U disconnect battery pack, the last Neg lead first.
Then just for safety the first +POS lead. Use 2 wrenches on motor connectors to prevent bolt from spinning and ruining the motor. Then reconnect +POS and lastly the -NEG which U disconnected earlier. Enjoy |
