I noticed that the b cable heats up when accelerator is depressed and held. So checked and cleaned cable connections at motor but they did not really need cleaning.

If the solenoid clicks when lever is in both F and R, MS-2 is working (The other microswitch on the F/R assemble just turns on the reverse beeper and puts controller in 1/2 speed)

If the solenoid only click in one direction, check to see if the cam is rotating far enough for the roller arm on MS-2 to drop into the indention on the outside circumference of the cam.

Basically, the same components are used in F and R, so if it runs in either direction, but not in the other, the problem is either associated with MS-2 or the high current contacts in the F/R switch.

Here is a drawing of the high current circuit in a series drive cart. The physical layout is a little different than the one in your cart, but it is electrically the same.

Confession time. I switched B and C leads when installing f/r. Works perfect now. Boy is my face red!!! Thanks a million for helping me rule out what it wasn't.
