To be honest the diagrams in the service manual are garbage unless you have the specific controllers they list. So in my case, the wiring diagrams were worthless due to the fact that I have a GE 403TB1 controller, and it's not listed and the color assignments are based on how many pins you have in your controler main harness. What controller do you have?

Oh, my Tomberlin is long gone, it had a Curtis 1268 controller installed.

Yeah, it was really hard to figure out what wire went where. Tomberline should have used 1 controller but for my E4 in the service manual, they had 3 listed not even including mine. The way I found out what pin went to where was I removed the Controller cover took the model number and did a Google search. From there I found FSIP was a rebuilder of my specific controller and they had a diagnosis checklist that broke down every pin and specs for voltage and such. I have nothing but the best things to say about FSIP they helped me a ton and the diagnosis sheet was a free downloadable PDF.
