Default CC Precedent torque upgrades

I have a 2005 Club Car IQ Precedent 48v that is stock except for lift kit, tires, and rear seat. I use it to pull a boat around my neighborhood and launch it. I'm actually really happy with the stock performance but I'd like to increase the torque a little bit. The stock engine only has 3.2hp, but it performs pretty well. Not concerned about speed. The cart will slow a little when going up mild incline at full speed. Should I just update the controller to an alltrax xct 48400-IQ and a high performance solenoid, or just upgrade the engine or do I need to do all of the above?

I'd rather not do it all if I can increase my torque by 25% by swapping new motor or putting in new controller. Any advise would be great.

Alltrax controller is the way to go, 300 or 400 would do what your looking for. But make sure your batteries are in good shape to support the performance of the new controller.

Totally agree....that's the way to go, 400 would be my preference...

With a new controller your stock 3.3HP motor is still going to be 3.3HP. In your situation with the lift and big tires and towing a boat you won't be happy until you replace both. Go with a Alltrax XCT 400 or 500 amp controller and at least 6HP torque motor. My 2 cents.
