Re: '08 precedent power to relay
It appears to be pin number 8 on the controller was very dirty. I am not sure how to remove the pin for a better cleaning but it was black sooty and I am trying to get some steel wool in there. Anyhow that's the fix! Much appreciation for the help.

Re: '08 precedent power to relay
As long as you are running that is good. Pin #8 comes from the Run/Tow switch (On) and Direction switch (Selected).

Re: '08 precedent power to relay
I told you wrong. It was pin 9! I checked 8 for forward and 16 reverse and they were fine. Just having the support here gave me the confidence. Thanks again.

Pin #9 is the Run/Tow switch (On).

Re: '08 precedent power to relay
Was this cart Towed while in "Run" mode?
Pin #9 is power to the walkaway motor brake, prolonged high current demand would cause the pin to heat up. |

Re: '08 precedent power to relay
I will mark what that pin is for in my notes. Just took her on a five mile ride and everything checks out perfectly.
That makes sense that Nolefan4ever said it was converted over to a 6x8 battery set up. I would assume that everything else would be the same as before? I did look at the MCOR and it has a manufacture date of 12/03/07 and a number on it 20419. I am embarrassed to say how long it took to track this issue down. Oh well it all good now Thanks again! |

Never been towed! My controller did burn up though so that makes sense. I cleaned the batteries and rinsed them off with one quart of water. Let is sit until later that night and when turned it on the controller smoked. I replaced it with a 350 amp Curtis and all was fine until this happened. Maybe that connection was dirty from that? |
