1983 G1 vacuum question
I am in the process of doing a top end overhaul on my 1983 G1 and could use some advise on how the vacuum valve is installed. I have enclosed a picture. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

There would be a plastic box/chamber mounted above the reed/manifold that it plugs into. If you don't have it, just plug the hose.

I have the plastic box/chamber. Do you know witch way the plastic valve points? When I took it apart it was turned cross ways in the hose. It looks like a one way valve. Thanks for your help.

Sometimes I have trouble explaining myself, so I have sent another picture. The red plastic valve was in the black line going to the box. It was turned sideways and I am not sure witch way to re install it. Should it exhaust towards the black box or towards the case ? Thanks
