RXV reducer / converter wiring - need help
I want ti install a 48 volt to 12 volt reducer on an rxv.
This is an 18 amp 3 wire reducer ( L-64) Normally ( on a club car ), I would hook the 3 wires to main positive, main negative, and the other to feed 12 volts. Do I wire this the same way on a rxv? I keep reading things about staying away from factory wiring on a rxv. So do I hook these 3 wires up, just as I described above? |

Do you have a picture? 3 wires should be as follows. Somone correct me if I'm wrong.
Negative (both 48v and 12v use same wire) 48 volt + 12 volt + This reducer will stay on all the time. Not necessarily bad but will keep a load on your batteries. Make sure you use an inline fuse. |

Re: RXV reducer / converter wiring - need help
No problem leaving inverter on all the time. It will just spark when hooking power up.
You can wire to switched power lug on RXV power sol. then inverter comes on with key. (No Spark) This set-up does not provide power for radio memory. Wiring to Power lugs (BIG WIRES) on sol is ok, stay away from control/signal wires(small) |
