What Field Map are you using in the DCX controller?

If the Field Map doesn't match the motor, you won't get optimal performance and you might get excessive motor heat.

With 23" tires, a torque motor is a good choice.

If you have the motor I suspect you do (MOT-B2), about 23-24 MPH on 23" tires works out about right mathematically, so at 48V you should see about 30-32 MPH. (26-27 MPH at 42V)
Good guess, I do have the MOT-B2. I like it but it is very jumpy when starting from a stop. I need to check the program and see how it is set up. I'm afraid someone will dump a kid off the back seat on accident. Lol.

With a MOT-B2, I'm pretty sure you ought to be running Field Map #45, but check with Alltrax to be sure. (And they should send it to you if you don't have it)

Lower the "Throttle Up Rate" setting to get the cart to take off more gently.

With that controller, you can get your cart to leave the line like a dragster or a luxury sedan.

Good to know, I'll start playing with it.

I was reading and noticed that there is a rubber thing insist the motor that I was supposed to move to the new one before install. I didn't do this when I installed the motor. What does this thing do and have i damaged anything already?

The spline bumper (https://shop.ezgo.com/products/Spline-Bumper.html) takes the end play out of the Motor shaft / Differential input shaft spline coupling.

The differential input shaft is held in-place with snap-rings, but the motor shaft is only held in place by the press-fit bearing at the other end, so end play might be able to move the bearing a bit.

I doubt if you've damaged anything yet, but I'd get a spline bumper in there in the near future.

Will do, thanks! Thanks for explaining it to me.
