Than a bit of an upgrade [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] The F&R switch is smooth to shift now and this cart has been fast and fun. New batteries and cables and a voltage gauge. Update: Just ordered a new F&R Heavy duty from, ScottyB. Also put 4 shocks on her and have a light kit and voltage reducer sitting in a box on the shelf. Will install them after she comes home from marina for winter. |

Re: The day she came into my life
Looks good. If you want to upgrade that switch, you can add new copper bus bars that will greatly enhance it's ability to carry a load. They come with 1/16 inch bars, you can upgrade to 1/8 inch. A very economical way to beef up your F/R switch without spending a ton.

Re: The day she came into my life
H/D switch already on way. Kinda wish I had ordered this switch instead:
http://www.cartsunlimited.net/Reversing_Contactors.html But that can and may happen later or with a different cart. The lugs in the old switch were uneven(sunk down in the holes of the phenolic disc,so I cut some shims out of cardboard and put them in the holes to raise them to make contact with the lugs on the cam. Works great, when I get the new switch I shall autopsy and takes pics. |
