Re: Reversing contactor hot
Sergio, the contacts did not show any evidence of excess bounce (no signs of heat or material transfer) when I inspected them.
I sure would like to see a wide shot of the SW202 install to better understand where and how it is mounted. Almost appears to be in the middle of the cart? |

Re: Reversing contactor hot
Here's a wide view of install
After testing contacts on go-fast solenoid I noticed a burnt looking wire on main solenoid,,, soooo while i was in there figured why not replace it, right...well while replacing that wire (and not disconnecting battery pack,,,stupid!) wire arc'd across one of the small terminals and fried that solenoid! How ironic is that- testing for welded contacts in one and actually doing it to the other! This story couldnt get any better even if i was making it up!!! ScottyB, here comes an order |

Re: Reversing contactor hot
Sorry for Your setback, but it is almost impossible to electrically damage a solenoid when it is not ON.
Other than physically damaging the big post on the battery side by spot-welding a negative cable to it, most likely you blew a fuse on the positive logic side of the cart or the Controller itself. |

Re: Reversing contactor hot
Some times. The micro switches blow, when some arc like that is entered in to the electrical system

Re: Reversing contactor hot
I had the solenoid pos activation post wires from the microswitch COM instead of the NC (wondered why the solenoid would click when i turned the key on instead of when pushing petal). But when i reinstalled all the wires and turned on the key it fried these wires:
1. Small wire from B- that lands on both small posts of solenoid 2. Wire from key switch to COM on microswitch 3. Wire from key switch to battery pack + Does that make sense as to what might have happened?? |
