I would say the weight differnce would not be enough to make a noticable proformance change.

It's laughable but there you have it - I'm wrong & I'm sorry
A guy with one cart knows better, sorry for my misleading post based upon, Oh. I dunno, 5000 -6000 cart upgrades over the last decade. Sorry - I did not mean to post incorrectly based upon my countless upgrades of & discussions with Medalist owners before and after their upgrades. And for the rest of you the power to weight ratio is out of consideration for any electric vehicle. You aluminum frame cart owners stop getting improved performance right now. You hear me? stop it!

I wasn't trying to prove you wrong Scotty. He asked and I was just giving my experience. It's just an old series cart. It would do about 13 mph before and about 13 mph after. Even after a 400 amp controller upgrade it's about 13 mph. I'm sure the DCS medalist with a little better speed may be more noticeable. Sorry, I respect your knowledge, because it is where I got most of my knowledge.

I wasn't replying to your post specifically In a series cart you can cut the cart weight in half and top speed won't improve so much as performance.... the time it takes to get to top speed would improve (shorten)
I am happy to share what I have learned from the many carts that I rolled up to in the service truck, or rolled through the repair shop, or now roll across my desk.

Off your Prozac?
My question was based on the fact that I can't tell any differnce when I put fifty lbs. more in the seat. I was not suggesting you were wrong when you said that plastic carts were faster than metal of the same year. There could be a whole slew of other differences that make that a true statement. (Controllers, motors, batteries, cables, even brake design)

I feel the best comparison is the same cart converted to plastic, hence the question. Please, aluminum frame cart owners, enjoy yourself!
