Wiring problem - no labels on ESC or motor
I'm putting together an EZ-Go golf cart. I bought a speed controller some years ago (from a Yamaha, maybe? I don't remember) with the pedal on a short cable. I'd planned to use this to replace the heating-coil resistive controller after we replaced the batteries. During the time this cart sat without batteries, pretty much every cable has been disconnected, so I'm trying to puzzle together the wiring harness. Unfortunately the motor isn't original, and the terminals (like the speed controller) are unlabeled.
So, is there a way to identify these, aside from connect cables by guesswork and hope I don't let the magic blue smoke out? (Update - speed controller terminals have stamped labels, "-", "A2", and "RE". Motor still has no labels. ). Last edited by Stray Catalyst; 10-28-2016 at 11:56 AM.. Reason: Updates with more info. |
