Default Throttle Rate vs Speed/Torque Curves - Alltrax?

What's the difference in the throttle rate setting and speed curve?

The manual says this for throttle rate "if you want a more aggressive pedal
push you would go up in percentage, if you want a more gradual increase in speed and throttle control then you would decrease the percentage."

and says "The Speed and Torque maps allow you to control the performance of your controller based off your throttle position" about the throttle/torque curves

Seems very similar to me, especially if you so a gradual increase on the speed curve?

So what's the difference and/or how do they work together?

The throttle rate affects how quickly the controller will respond to the accelerator pedal.

As in a delay from pressing the pedal till the time it does something?

so would that be why in reverse (it seems more noticable there) that it take a good bit of pedal to make it move? I was playing with settings and put throttle rate to 20% or something really low so I could notice the difference...and the reverse is at 50%.

What is the most widely used throttle rate for street? I think it came set at 50%.

Lowering throttle rate seemed to reduce the whiplash effect! :)

Reverse is usually 1/2 speed or 50%. On a hide speed cart you would want it less because it runs much faster.

Remember most "Golf Carts" are only 9-12 mph due to safety factors associated with golf clubs....

These are my settings. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...ml#post1417859

I'm very happy with this le el of performance except speed holding on the big hills. A new torque motor will fix that

jbsmith05, I have a modified throttle curve I can send you. Email me if you're interested. It'll reduce your whiplash. Makes the cart very comfortable to drive, but when you gas it, it's got plenty of power.

Is it the one you sent me...I'm Jeff :)

Its much better but still hits hard, i may just tweak the curve down some.

Simply changing from street to turf usually resolves harsh throttle complaints. Turf mode softens throttle response so when you are on the golf course (the TURF) the cart will not lurch ahead and damage the TURF

I hope this helps
