Golfcartwire3.jpg Golfcartwire2.jpg I can't seem to figure out how to get a replacement wire for this wire. It isn't on the electrical grid. It is for a 2005 EZ-Go Textron electric golf cart and seems to be a solo wire that goes from the light to the charger in the cart. This summer it shorted out a few times and fried a few batteries. Any help is appreciated, thank you! |

![]() the pictures show two different wires which one do you want. they both are pretty easy to make. I assume that neither is a resistor wire?
we need a little more info on what the wire does. how did it fry a battery/ both wires pictured can be made with pretty simple tools. if you give me lengths i can make them and send to you ken |

![]() Thank you for the reply. That is actually the same wire. It is about 16 inches long. The issue was at the circle end it was frayed and when we turned the lights on it would heat up and actually started one battery on fire at one point. I taped it up as best I could for about a month but now I need a replacement. I couldn't find anything online that fit what this wire is.

![]() Well, the reason you cant find that wire in Ezgo parts is because it's not a factory Ezgo light kit part. Someone made that. Ezgo "from the factory" light kit wires aren't put together with those basic "blue crimp on connectors".

![]() can we get a couple close ups of the ringed end? Ken, I think you are on point with it being a resistor wire of some sort since it goes from the charger receptacle to the lights. If it is, wouldnt the resistor being burnt up cause the issues? Also, correct me if I am wrong, wouldn't the best thing he could do is get rid of it and get a voltage reducer?
