As long as we are guessing, how about the throttle switch, mcor or v glide??

And if it is a series DS the solenoid is controlled by the MCOR Micro-sw.

We're not guessing but if we were, I'd say it was the bell pepper omelet for breakfast

Pretty much has to be an IQ cart or a Regen since it has the rocker switch and a blue wire w/white stripe. If it has a run/tow, it is either Regen II or IQ. (And OBC could have been a player if it were a Series as it could be losing the Neg)

After you verify the voltage, hook up your DVM when the problem is present and see if you have lost the 48+ (blue wire) or 48- (Blue w/White stripe) coming in on the small contacts of the solenoid.

If you had the 48+ on the Blue wire and all inputs are present, the controller should have supplied you the 48- thru the Blue/white stripe wire. If it is not (and you also have no reverse buzzer), those are both signs your controller has most likely failed as it is not supplying the 48- to the energizing coil of your solenoid or signaling reverse.
