Temp wise it is important to remember that the motor temp will continue to rise 20-50 degrees once the use stops. And it take hours to dissipate all the heat.
I'm not the expert here but, in my tests, the motors stayed cooler when run continuously rather than being left to 'cool down' for 30-60 minutes and run again. The motors with the cool down period actually heated up more. Their temps went down some when run again. If you want to have some fun get a temp gauge and attach it to a motor.
