2018 rxv
I have a 2018 Rxv Golf cart. It has 6 8 volt Trojan batteries. I have been having it really sloe down lately after 15 holes of golf. When the cart is charging I get a reading of around 62 volts. Each battery reads around 10.3 while charging after the charge shuts off it drops to about 52 volts. Why would you think I have the slow down? Thanks

Re: 2018 rxv
Your batteries are tired is my guess. What are the voltages under load when it slows down?

Re: 2018 rxv
I will check pack voltage while driving tomorrow. Then I will test each battery while driving and report back. Thanks for the reply m

Re: 2018 rxv
You should always check the batteries with a rest time of 10-12 hrs after full charge to get a plausible reading.

Re: 2018 rxv
Here are the test results. The cart was at rest for at least 12 hours. When I checked the main pack voltage it was 50.7. Drove it on the road and a steep hill. The pack voltage dropped to 43.2. Then I proceeded to check each battery at rest and going uphill. All batteries all tested almost exact. 8.2 at rest and either 7.0 or 7.1 going up the steep hill. When I returned home and let the cart sit awhile the pack voltage was 49.7. The batteries are Trojan T-2 160 AH @ 20 HR. 13 AH@5 Hr. What does this say about the state of the batteries? Thanks

Re: 2018 rxv
As Volt_Ampere suggested, seems to be time for new batteries. A healthy battery pack shouldn't drop more than 2-3v, even under load.

Re: 2018 rxv
Update. Put all new Trojan batteries in today. The key was off and the cart was in toe mode. Placed one cable wrong for a split second. Big spark. Made the correction. All new batteries test at 8.3. Now when he key is on and out of tow mode now forward or backwards. Any ideas. Thanks
