Default Some Electric problem

I have a 1992 g2a Yamaha Gas that was running fine until my wife scraped the bottom against a rock. the cart won't start at all as if there is no electric power anywhere. The headlights are working which rules out the battery.

so far, I've repaired every spliced electric wire and checked the gas pedal switch. But I'm at lost and sure d would appreciate your assistance and your suggestions. Thank you.

Check the two wires coming off the pedal switch right under the plate where the gas pedal is located. They are spliced and have bullet connectors about middle ways of the plate.

Thanks Spriddle.

After posting the thread, I was able to locate the my Yamaha service manual which has detailed steps of how to troubleshoot electrical problems.

I'll try them over the weekend and update the post.

Yes, don't know why I didn't post this myself. LOL!! If you have anything grounded to the frame, it will blow the main fuse everytime and the cart will not turn over at all.

I finally had a chance to work on the cart... it has been really cold out here.
Following the procedures on the service manual, I've checked the battery, fuses, main switch, accelerator stop switch, starter generator, and solenoid relay... All these components are in good working orders.
At this point, I'm suspecting bad ignitor or faulty wiring. Will a bad ignitor block electric power from getting to the starter motor? Do you recommend tackling the wiring or ignotor first? Thanks.

check your wiring sounds like a wire got cut somewere. i don't think a bad ignitor will kill the starter.

Your a smart cookie, Sabercat Ignitor has nothing to do with the starting circuit. I would also look at the wires connected to the solenoid (small red and small black) to make shure the connected and the small red lead that is pigtailed into the positive battery cable at the solenoid, this small red wire "snap" connects to the wireharness and is the main positive for it (it's a very short lead) and may have come unplugged. Good luck Dave

I got the cart working. The battery connector lead was bad. After I replaced it, the cart started and it's running just fine.

This forum rocks.. Thank you all for your help.
