Vanny 18hp Vacuum fuel pump...where does hose go?
Ok, so I had a electric fuel pump on my vanny. I want to change to a vacuum fuel pump. I bought the pump but now I'm stumped....where does the hose go to connect to the vacuum supply? I have searched the forums and the web and can't find anything. My motor didn't come with a fuel pump when I bought it new from CPP so I did the electric pump. I don't see any fittings on the motor to connect it to. Any and all help is appreciated....pics would be ideal, but I can read if need be.

Look at you intake, air filter housing, etc. Mine is on the air filter housing just before the carb.

follow the arrows on the pump the middle fitting should be for vaccume supply and

Can I tap the valve cover and put my own fitting on there? When I get home I'll look at the air filter housing to see if one is there. I see the oil breather that vents ino the air filter assembly but that's all I remember seeing
You guys saved me a ton of time. I spent hours on the web just looking at big block pics to see if I an see the fuel pump connection. Would a 16hp valve cover fit in the 18? There is one on eBay that has the fitting on it. Thx |
