1990 Ezgo Textron gas clutch problems
Clutch won't engage, and advice on fix or replacing clutch.

Well, by won't engage, describe what it is doing. Which clutch?
If the drive clutch on the engine closes and engages the belt, it should turn the driven (rear) clutch. If the rear clutch is turning, but your axles aren't...it's possible you accidentally flipped the Neutral lock out switch. On your model, it would be on the front of the transaxle on the metal piece that attaches the two shift cables. If the cart shifts in forward and reverse then this isn't the problem, it is likely a stripped hub. If the drive clutch at the motor simply doesn't close as RPM increases, then its likely that clutch needs to be rebuilt or replaced. A short video of what it is doing helps a ton, or even pictures while it is running. |
