'99 Workhorse Project
What have I done?
I need another project like I need a hole in the head. I found this '99 workhorse and couldn't past it up. It has a 350 engine and looks to be complete. The guy said that it ran low on oil and wanted to junk it out. I don't know exactly what I'm going to do with it, yet. I just picked it up and havn't gone through it yet. It has some minor rust in a couple of frame braces, but all in all, it looks pretty soild. The cab has some rust and I'm not sure if it can be fixed without a lot of work. The back box looks pretty soild though. The wife is going to shake her head "again". Anyway, I thought it looked pretty cool. Now what do I do?????? |

Re: '99 Workhorse Project
You could put the wife to work cooking and start a catering business.
I think that if you can find the glass the cab could be bead blasted and a bright colored ryno paint job would fix it up? |

Re: '99 Workhorse Project
The Wife cook?
Bwahahahahah I keep going back and forth as to what to do. I need to pull it up in the garage and take a real good look at it. The steering wheel column moves more than a bit so I will have to see what is rotted out if anything. I just parked it for now so I can finish up the Marathon. After that, then I will pull her up and take a good look at her. The box would make a great beer keg holder with taps on the side. BUT, I will probably take it off and look for a cargo box. The cab is in pretty bad shape. It could probably be fixed, but I will have to see. I'm still getting over the sticker shock that I have stuck in the Marathon. To even start thinking of a $2300 big block project is too much right now. But that is probably what is going to happen, if its worth rebuilding. I'd love to put a ST cowl on it though. I will keep ya posted. |

Re: '99 Workhorse Project
Looks interesting. I have never seen one with a set up on it quite like that. The possibilities are endless as you know.

Now what do I do??????[/QUOTE] Give me directions to your place, I will bring the trailer with the winch on it, and your "Now what do I do?" problem will be solved. I like it!!! Lots of ideas floating thru my twisted little mind right now! |
